About The Position

The Site Procurement Manager at Amazon is responsible for overseeing the indirect procurement operations at the Fulfillment Center. This role involves managing supplier relationships, inventory management, and procurement processes to drive efficiencies and improvements. The manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that procurement operations align with the overall goals of the site and the company.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Excel or Tableau experience (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  • 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • 3+ years of supply chain experience.
  • 3+ years of supply chain operations experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Experience with supplier or vendor relationship management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in procurement.
  • Experience in Coupa or other financial management/procurement software.
  • Experience with cost accounting.
  • Lean / Six-Sigma knowledge.
  • Highly self-motivated and customer-centric.

Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement operations support for the fulfillment center, including forecasting of non-inventory products and inventory management.
  • Lead a team of non-inventory receivers to ensure adequate resources are available for building operations.
  • Develop knowledge of non-inventory items and align with similar buildings to implement best practices.
  • Manage KPIs to measure and benchmark procurement processes, creating recurring metrics reports for improvement.
  • Build relationships across the building and network to share and implement best practices.
  • Align with internal customers and finance to understand budgetary targets and develop methods for measuring savings and value.
  • Build category metrics models to track performance against category strategies.
  • Measure actual vs planned savings and develop action plans to meet goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop innovative procurement solutions.
  • Implement ways to measure supplier performance for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate demand identification, procurement, and inventory management of non-merchandise items required for operations.
  • Manage supplier scorecards in partnership with the category team.
  • Ensure timely resolution of vendor payment issues in collaboration with AP and suppliers.
  • Support procurement operations and category management teams.
