About The Position

The City of Sandy Springs is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Site Plan Reviewer to join our Community Development team. If you enjoy digging into civil and land development plans, ensuring projects are built right the first time, and collaborating with engineers, designers, and city staff, this role offers a meaningful way to make an impact in a growing community. This position plays a key role in protecting public safety, ensuring code compliance, and helping projects move smoothly from plan review to construction. As a Site Plan Reviewer, you’ll review civil and land development plans submitted for permits—ranging from private developments to public infrastructure projects. You’ll make sure plans are complete, accurate, and fully compliant with the City’s Development Code, Technical Manual, and applicable FEMA floodplain regulations. You’ll also serve as a technical resource within the department and may act as a backup to the City Engineer when needed. Every plan you review directly affects how Sandy Springs grows—how roads are aligned, stormwater is managed, neighborhoods are protected, and developments integrate safely into the community. Your work ensures that what’s approved on paper is clearly communicated and built correctly in the field.
