About The Position

The Site Medical Director at Sun River Health is responsible for overseeing the diagnosis and treatment of patients, collaborating with nurse practitioners and physician's assistants, and ensuring high-quality healthcare services are delivered at the Yonkers Park Care site. This part-time role involves participation in quality improvement activities, after-hours coverage, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, etc.)
• Board Certification and Physician License
• CPR/BLS certification
• Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures for nurse practitioners.
• Competence in delivering healthcare and preventative health education.
• Ability to collaborate with health center members to maintain quality standards.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (orally and written)
• Experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat patients in specialty area.
• Collaborate and supervise nurse practitioners and physician's assistants.
• Participate in planning and developing healthcare services.
• Provide after-hours coverage to ensure 24-hour availability of care.
• Design and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Supervise clinical activities and medical documentation in the department.
• Coordinate tests, referrals, and care of patients outside the Health Center.
• Set standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of medical records.
• Attend provider meetings and ensure productivity and patient satisfaction standards are met.
