This position is a direct hire with our client. Compensation: $100,000 per year The Site Manager - Wastewater Treatment Operations is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and economical operation and maintenance of an industrial wastewater treatment plant.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in plant operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Educational background in wastewater treatment operations, sanitary engineering, or related technical field
  • Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of wastewater treatment plant components
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards in wastewater treatment plants and safety measures to be implemented
  • Experience with biological wastewater treatment processes, to include: DAFs, aeration basins, centrifuges, and wastewater chemistry
  • Experience with preventative maintenance software
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications for reporting and communications
  • Must be able to climb ladders, regularly lift weights up to 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and supervision to plant personnel
  • Oversee the operation of facilities to meet all applicable regulatory requirements and design criteria
  • Develop and implement techniques and methods of process control which increase plant efficiency
  • Confer with engineering and operations departments on operational issues
  • Implement, direct, and enforce plant safety and risk management programs for operators and contractors on site
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, repair and replacement and provide input on the requisition of tools, materials, equipment, and services
  • Advise on plans for construction, repair, or replacement of any equipment components
  • Implement and coordinate training program for new and existing equipment
  • Assist in budget preparation and management
