We are seeking a Suncor Site Manager to oversee and ensure the safety of employees, as well as manage the overall business operations of the refinery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment while driving efficient management practices to support the refinery's daily operations and long-term goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or another technical field from an accredited university.
  • 4 years of scaffold and/or insulation experience in relevant industry (petrochemical, refinery, or power). 8 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Operational/field experience in the construction, manufacturing, or other industrial environments, with a proven understanding of productivity drivers.
  • Understand scheduling techniques, estimating, change management, risk management, and progress reporting methods.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with MS Office.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Significant experience operating in team environments.
  • Must be able to take a large amount of data and information (big ideas/strategy) and present in concise terms in order to support project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-craft team in the execution of maintenance, capital, and turnaround operations including EHS and administrative functions.
  • Ensure overall contract compliance. Work with internal and external stakeholders to meet Operational, EHS and administrative deliverables.
  • Work with site and area leadership to staff manpower as required.
  • Must have firm knowledge of multi-craft operational functions and develop work methods in service of customer needs.
  • Coordinate budget and schedule input as needed to service customer.
  • Work with site foreman, superintendents and project controls to develop estimates, build customer facing proposals and manage to those estimates providing daily progress reports.
  • Engage and participate in the monthly operating rhythm of the branch including timely billing, job cost/status reporting, tag log tracking.
  • Support company EHS policies and procedures and leverage the EHS team to gain positive outcomes for our team members.
  • Drive compliance with and participation in BrandSafway's behavior-based safety systems.
