Marksman Security is seeking qualified candidates to join our team of dedicated, compassionate security officers and firefighters. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Site Manager of Security/Fire. As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting lives and property by managing and leading the security and fire teams and assisting the client in various capacities. This physically demanding and rewarding position requires critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure. The Site Manager – Security/Fire position reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in either Security, Law Enforcement, Military, Fire Service, or Emergency Management.
  • Have a working knowledge of Incident Command and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
  • Strong understanding of security operations within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and leadership skills suitable for site-level management responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Valid State of North Carolina security license, or ability to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial security/fire service experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of the use of Lenel access control and Perspective report writing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Winteam systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Forms and Excel.
  • Hazard material certifications in one or more of the following – Awareness, Operations, Technical.
  • Certification courses related to emergency communications, crisis management, or instructor development.
  • ICS 100,200,700,800.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily security operations to ensure post coverage, patrols, access control, and emergency response functions are performed to standard.
  • Ensure all security officers and firefighters are properly scheduled, staffed, and deployed to meet contractual and operational requirements.
  • Maintain operational continuity through proactive planning for absences, special events, shutdowns, and surge requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all client policies, site-specific post orders, contractual obligations, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and post reviews to verify adherence to standards.
  • Identify security risks, gaps, or trends and recommend mitigation strategies to the client and the Regional Director of Operations.
  • Maintain composure and provide calm leadership during emergencies, critical incidents, or high-stress events.
  • Exhibit sound judgment, professional communication, and quick decision-making under pressure.
  • Model Marksman’s core values professionalism, accountability, and integrity in all interactions.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, performance, and reliability.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all operations, procedures, and technology systems.
  • Foster an environment of learning, mutual respect, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Communicate clearly and constructively with both team members and management.
  • Ensure all training materials remain up to date and align with the client and Marksman requirements.
  • Be available to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the event of an emergency or other situation as directed by Security Management or corporate leadership.
  • Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior leadership. Be able to effectively maintain liaison with local police, fire, and EMS officials.
  • Ability to thoroughly know security and/or fire suppression SOPs. Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all Emergency Response Plans and Procedures and lead response as required within 30 days of hire.
