About The Position

The Site Manager at SMS Group is responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of equipment in metallurgical plants, focusing on areas such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and emulsion systems. This role requires extensive travel to project job sites, where the manager will plan work, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with various teams to ensure timely project completion. The position demands strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of mechanical systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 to 7 years of work experience in a similar function.
• Strong organizational skills and disciplined approach to daily activities.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in planning, organizing, and scheduling.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

• Preferred work experience in installation and commissioning of metallurgical plants.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Experience in high-stress environments and adapting to weather fluctuations.

Responsibilities

• Study project drawings and prepare for site activities in advance.
• Make daily/weekly installation plans according to the project schedule.
• Ensure work front availability for installation teams and clients.
• Check foundation and establish benchmarks and center lines.
• Maintain measuring records during the installation phase.
• Prepare installation completion documents to record successful installations.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with electrical and automation teams.
• Oversee the entire project to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety programs on site.
• Prepare updated progress reports and summarize problem areas.
