About The Position

The Site Manager, Operations at Amazon.com Services LLC is responsible for budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for a Fulfillment Center. This role encompasses all aspects of operation or functions at the site, managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers. The Site Manager will coach and mentor the team to ensure performance objectives are met while building positive employee relations and leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. The position requires the use of Lean and Six Sigma Process Improvement methodologies and performance metrics to increase efficiency within processes. Additionally, the Site Manager will drive the creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the Fulfillment Center to meet and exceed business plans. Responsibilities also include ensuring overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations, participating in the full staffing lifecycle, and collaborating closely with support staff to secure resources for projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered, management consulting, technical management, or logistics engineering.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
  • 2 years of management experience in a Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production/Procurement, Distribution, Logistics or related environment.
  • 2 years of experience using Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma methodologies or related performance metrics.
  • 1 year of cross-functional coordination experience across different business units.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with support staff to build and secure support for projects.
  • Ensure best practices are shared across all departments and shifts.
