We are opening a new breast diagnostic center in Lake Norman next year and need an experienced diagnostic Mammography Technologist to lead it, starting at our Huntersville site until the opening.

Requirements

  • Junior College/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or office management.
  • ARRT/CPR certification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Mammography and healthcare management with direct staff supervision of 5+ employees.
  • Proficiency in Diagnostic imaging and Stereotactic biopsy and imaging.
  • Computer literate with the ability to read and interpret medical reports.
  • Anatomic knowledge of breast tissue patterns and related structures.
  • Knowledge of radiographic technique and positioning.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of ultrasound positioning and anatomy.
  • Self-motivator with the ability to multi-task and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned outpatient facility with 3 or more employees.
  • Monitor and proactively address employee, patient, and physician matters and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with physician and technologist protocols, patient procedures, quality control, and regulatory issues.
  • Order supplies and manage timekeeping for permanent staff onsite.
  • Perform evaluations of permanent staff and create positive working relationships with referring offices.
  • Cover clinical technologist duties when not performing administrative leadership functions.
  • Gather previous images, paperwork, and questionnaires from patients and ensure correct scheduling for exams.
  • Obtain and evaluate images on patients before sending them to the radiologist.
  • Track patient files and assist in the location and retrieval of prior outside studies.
  • Perform employee-focused management functions including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Monitor clinical operational performance including volumes, scheduling, quality, and patient engagement.
  • Oversee scheduling of fixed site technologists and ensure adequate clinical coverage.
  • Manage timekeeping for direct reports and monitor attendance and timekeeping policies.
  • Provide oversight of orientation for new Mamm Tech hires and implement coaching and re-training.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to disseminate important information and encourage employee feedback.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and ensure necessary office supplies and equipment are available.
