About The Position

The Site Manager in Houston, TX, is responsible for providing leadership and direction for all manufacturing activities at the site. This role encompasses overseeing operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Site Manager will lead a team to achieve operational excellence while aligning with BASF's strategic objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in EH&S, cost reduction, quality improvement, cycle time reduction, and asset optimization.
• A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing or related fields.
• Effective communication skills and a successful track record in creating continuous improvements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all manufacturing activities at the Houston site.
• Ensure compliance with BASF policies, regulations, and values for safety, quality, environmental, and financial stewardship.
• Lead and direct the site team to achieve operational plan commitments in quality, speed, cost, and EH&S.
• Develop and implement budget, objectives, personnel plans, inventory management, and capital plans.
• Build strong teams, coach, influence, and guide employees to reach their full potential.
• Create continuous improvements in culture, facilities, and technology.
