About The Position

The Site Maintenance Worker position involves performing a variety of general maintenance tasks using common hand tools and operating light-load mobile equipment, including a forklift and a compact wheel-loader. The current vacancy is at the Puente Hills Materials Recovery Facility (PHMRF). Work hours and rotating shifts may vary, with candidates potentially placed on day, swing, or graveyard shifts depending on site needs.

Requirements

• A valid California Class C driver license for positions performing on-the-job-driving
• A valid California Class B driver license may be required to operate a motor sweeper on public streets adjacent to the site
• No specific educational level or experience is required

Responsibilities

• Pick up litter and remove debris
• Relieve Weighscale Operators by performing scale transactions and handling money
• Pressure wash the outside of a facility
• Assist with maintenance of site structures and equipment
• Perform site maintenance or equipment operations tasks using hand tools and small engine-powered equipment
• Load and distribute refuse or recyclable materials using a forklift or similar wheeled equipment
• Relieve Utility Equipment Operators by operating an excavator and/or loader
