About The Position

This position is responsible for the on-site system integration testing. The position will assist the on-site commissioning team with testing across functional areas and User Acceptance Testing with the customer. The primary tasks in this position will be designing, planning, and executing test plans that prove out system and customer acceptance criteria. This position may be responsible for and assist on multiple projects simultaneously, as schedules permit.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
A minimum of 5 years experience testing complex systems, including developing test plans, creating test reports and automating testing activities.
Up to 50% of travel as required, including international travel.
Integration Development Environment (IDE) experience (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans)
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 or newer
Knowledge of MSTest and TFS test framework
Experience with continuous integration and code delivery concepts
Familiarity with source control (e.g. TFS, GIT)
Proficient in unit testing, automated testing, functional testing and test design
Ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of material handling concepts
Agile methods and practices
Presenting and interacting with senior client leadership teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time.
Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis.
Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region.
This position may require work at TGW customer sites. TGW’s customers may require background checks before accessing their sites. Refusal to participate in a customer-required background check may result in a customer barring access and a subsequent reduction in work.

Responsibilities

Understand solution design and intent of the system
Create and approve test cases across functional areas
Report testing status to site teams, senior management, and clients
Create and maintain test plans, including acceptance, regression, volume and performance
Participate in controls and software functional tests using an equipment emulation model
Execute performance tests using an equipment emulation model
Write C# and/or Java code to meet functional testing specifications
Guide and assist the on-site controls and software commissioning team with material handling equipment
Support software development team
Stay abreast on current and new technologies and also work closely with the product development team
