About The Position

Moog's Space and Defense team is seeking a Site General Manager to lead operations at our Johnson City, Tennessee facility. This role reports directly to the Space and Defense Motion Control Business Unit Director and requires an onsite work schedule. The Johnson City site specializes in Military/Aerospace ruggedized Electro-Optical Transceivers and Ethernet/Media Fiber Optic Switch products of the Power & Data division. As Site General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the facility's operations, drive strategic growth, and ensure excellence in product delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management and/or business leadership experience, with a history of increasing responsibility.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (Infor LN preferred).
  • Understanding of ITAR/EAR and FAR/DFARS compliance.
  • Proven success in team building and continuous improvement, resulting in operational growth and margin enhancement.
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the Fiber Optics/Electronics industry is highly desirable.

  • Implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Build a diverse and agile organization.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance individual and collective performance.
  • Deliver highly engineered, complex products under challenging conditions including cost pressures, supply chain constraints, and tight lead times.
  • Solve customers' most difficult problems with proactive, system-level solutions.
  • Directly oversee leaders of Operations, Supply Chain, and Support Engineering (Design, Manufacturing, and Quality).
