About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated leader who will make a difference leading the Environmental systems while improving results. In this role you will provide Environmental Stewardship and support to the Procter and Gamble (P&G) Albany Site via technical mastery and site-specific coaching. As a member of the site Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) team, the Environmental Leader will provide leadership for the facility’s environmental performance and sustainability needs, including environmental footprint reduction, legal and regulatory compliance, environmental control systems operation and performance, external legal and regulatory relations, and sustainability project implementation. You will be a key partner with HS&E, engineering, and manufacturing resources in delivering new business initiatives meeting environmental and sustainability objectives. Focus areas include, but are not limited to: Participating in site environmental and sustainability priority development and alignment with internal and external business partners Maintaining records and assuring compliance with site permits Developing HSE team and Operations environmental skills and capability, and enabling application of that capability throughout the site Creating and implementing focused action plans with emphasis on environmental performance, legal and regulatory compliance, and site sustainability objectives Creating operations management systems to strengthen environmental control reliability and performance. Evaluating capital projects for environmental and sustainability effects, and participating in project design and delivery for improved results Leading external environmental agency relations, including permitting, legal and regulatory interpretation, and external support of developing regulations and onsite audits Leading specific environmental and sustainability technology areas (Air Quality, Water Quality, etc.) Personally responsible for the following EPD/EPA reports: NPDES- Annual Report -January SARA – 311,312 February GHG – March Title V - Semi-Annuals and Annual Compliance Certification (ACC) February and August SARA – 313 June Air Emissions Inventory- Report July, Fees September NetDMR- Quarterly

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma/ GED/ Equivalent
  • This individual must complete the P&G Environmental Qualification within 6 months of starting the role.
  • The individual must complete Air Permit training with a chosen consultant within 6 months of starting.
  • The individual must complete Hazardous Waste Management and DOT Hazardous Material Training within 6 months of starting.
  • SEL Qualification-Corporate
  • Class III Wastewater License - Georgia
  • Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA)- EPD/EPA
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials - EPD/EPA
  • Hazwoper- EPD/EPA
  • Asbestos- EPD/EPA
  • Lead- EPD/EPA
  • Radiation– US Nuclear regulatory Commission- No sources currently onsite
  • Ability to lead and implement an improvement across a broad/diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem solve, analyze, redesign and implement plans.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills (Verbal and written)
  • Strong Project Leadership Skills
  • Ability to implement and interpret Environmental systems and regulations
  • Interpret legal regulations and standards

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree: in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, Work Experience will also be considered (sampling, data entry, permit evaluation experience)
