About The Position

As a Site EHS Specialist at Gallo's Livingston winery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This position involves collaboration with various departments to promote safe work practices, analyze data for regulatory reporting, and lead incident investigations. Your efforts will contribute to continuous improvement goals within the winery.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of EHS experience or a Bachelor of Science degree plus 2 years of EHS experience.
  • Skilled in developing clear written communications, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to present information effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to source, read, and understand EHS regulations published by government agencies.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science EHS (Accredited EHS program) and/or EHS related certifications (CSP, ASP, OHST, CHMM).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Experience responding to inquiries from internal customers or regulatory agencies.
  • Skilled in applying mathematical concepts and defining problems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field walks to verify compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
  • Compare workplace conditions to OSHA Title 8 requirements and communicate findings to site leaders.
  • Participate in internal and external audits of facility compliance with EHS regulations and standards.
  • Collect and compile data from various systems and records for EHS performance metrics.
  • Prepare regulatory compliance reports and inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work with leaders and team members to ensure effective incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate small group meetings focused on EHS program and process review and improvement.
  • Provide training to winery employees on compliant environmental practices and safety programs.
