About The Position

As a key member of the Distribution Center you will play an integral part in helping Enovis drive the medical technology industry forward through transforming patient care and creating better patient outcomes. The EHS Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of the site’s safety programs. This role provides full on-site support to employees and supervisors as needed in relation to safety for the distribution center. Additionally, the Lead is accountable for developing, implementing, and enforcing the organization's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. The primary goal is to ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment for all employees while minimizing environmental impact. This role includes taking ownership of workplace safety programs and delivering training to staff on best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of EHS experience in a DC or a manufacturing facility
  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS or similar field (those pursuing a degree will be considered)
  • Functional knowledge of DC operations, and process flow.
  • Knowledge of basic safety standards and how to determine compliance.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Professional safety certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety and environmental programs, processes, and policies to safeguard employees and to ensure compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Administer and monitor Corporate and Business Unit safety/environmental programs.
  • Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program.
  • Provide training to enable effective operation of the established safety systems.
  • Initiate, document, and monitor corrective actions to adhere to safety programs.
  • Gather information and generate required and/or requested reports.
  • Manage the safety committee to accommodate production schedules and requirements.
  • Work with employees to resolve safety issues.
  • Provide prompt support to employees and the leadership team to address and prevent safety issues and risks, ensuring timely resolution of safety concerns.
  • Audit requirements
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to OSHA safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep the facility management team informed of safety and environmental concerns.
  • Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries.
  • Manage local worker's compensation issues.
