Eurofins PSS is seeking a Site Director who thrives in the thick of the action. Oversees and manages the Richmond, VA PSS site Manages the day to day operation of the analytical laboratory to insure smooth flow of samples and testing with a focus on operational excellence Hires, coaches, reviews, manages, and terminates assigned staff Oversees the scheduling of laboratory staff to insure client business needs are met Counsels laboratory staff with regard to problems encountered in daily operations Oversees the orientation of new laboratory staff to their responsibilities and the function of the laboratory Identifies process improvements to better meet client expectations and company objectives; drives operational excellence Serves as a liaison for the laboratory to the PSS client Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility Demonstrate and promote the company vision Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
• 10 + years of hands on related experience
• Leadership experience
• Scientific background with hands on tobacco and/or consumer product laboratory experience
• Strong leadership skills
• A good understanding of day to day business operations, specifically reated to analytical laboratories
• Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
