About The Position

Responsible for overseeing program operations for GCDC Infant Toddler Center. The primary focus will be the confirmation of program activities, staff support/development/assessment, and parent engagement.

Requirements

  • Three years supervision in early childhood programs
  • bachelor’s degree in related field or other requirement met by NJ Office of Licensing
  • Current NJ Driver License, access to automobile and valid auto insurance
  • Infant and Toddler child development, team/enrollment management and parent relationship building.
  • Must be in good physical and mental health; able to lift 20lbs.
  • Must complete minimum 20 hours of relevant annual training.
  • commit 40-45 hours per week
  • available for occasional evening/weekend hours to meet agency goals
  • must be flexible to open and close the building as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with age-appropriate curriculum, activities, and continuing quality improvement tools (ITERS-3) a plus; ability to communicate effectively to/with multiple audiences

Responsibilities

  • Lead programs that improve infant learning, through social, emotional, language and physical development
  • Develop, implement and assess programs, services, and activities to ensure they meet office of licensing and Grow NJ Kids quality standards
  • Maintain and confirm agency policies and procedures are consistently followed
  • Collect and report student data and information to meet grant reporting requirements.
  • Secure materials and supplies that support program activities, and turn in timely accurate receipts
  • Assist with interviewing and onboarding new employees
  • Provide direct supervision, two way feedback and assessment of staff and volunteers
  • Assist with and maintain full enrollment
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with parents, and community organizations
  • Maintain daily contact with program and administrative staff to discuss issues and provide/receive information
  • Conduct staff meetings and attend leadership meetings
  • Assist with Agency Strategic Planning
  • Report timely concerns to Executive Director
