DESCRIPTION: Join our collaborative leadership team as a Site Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll guide operational excellence and contribute to manufacturing high-quality products that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You'll manage all site operations, optimizing efficiency while developing skilled teams and maintaining exemplary safety and quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic direction, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and cultivate a culture of accountability and innovation aligned with our 4i values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement. As Site Director, you'll collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute strategic and annual operating plans while promoting operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and supply chain management. You'll be responsible for establishing systems and efficient methods for producing high-quality products, meeting delivery requirements, and expanding capabilities to support business growth. The role involves working across global functions and leading organizational change while maintaining strong customer focus and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in progressive management in complex manufacturing operations, including significant GMP environment experience
  • Demonstrated success in operational excellence, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated expertise in safety management and regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA, EH&S)
  • Proven experience implementing Lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
  • Excellence in financial and business performance management
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience developing and mentoring teams
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with all organizational levels
  • Experience managing in matrix organizational structures
  • Ability to implement organizational change
  • Proven success in strategic planning and execution
  • Advanced English language proficiency
  • Travel up to 20% of time, including internationally when required
