About The Position

KaiPod Learning brings together small groups (pods) of 10–12 students who live nearby and are enrolled in online or homeschool programs. We provide a safe, structured, and engaging in-person environment where students can thrive socially and academically, while parents gain peace of mind. At the heart of each pod is a KaiPod Learning Coach. The Lead Learning Coach is the central hub of a two-person pod, responsible for the overall success of the site—academically, operationally, and relationally—while working in close partnership with a Learning Coach. This role involves creating learning spaces where students are safe, supported, focused, and excited to learn, serving as a mentor, academic guide, enrichment facilitator, and trusted partner to families, while also owning the operational and team leadership functions of the pod. This role is unique as it combines aspects of a teacher (building relationships, supporting academic growth, shaping culture) with non-traditional classroom responsibilities like personalizing student experiences through goal-setting, coaching, executive functioning support, and social facilitation. The Lead Learning Coach also owns site operations (scheduling, family communication, safety planning, budget) and leads/supports the partnering Learning Coach, with autonomy to plan activities like field trips, theme days, and clubs.
