About The Position

The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall logistics of the after school program at a site. Site Coordinators serve as the liaison of the program’s needs and information to parents, community members, school administration, and staff. They inspire and coordinate daily program schedules while ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment for participants and staff. They oversee the daily program’s operations and ensure that all staff are equipped and ready to run a successful after school program. They supervise assistant site coordinators, community liaisons, and club leaders who will supervise 10-20 program participants daily. They also manage staff schedules and daily enrichment offerings.

Requirements

  • FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance.
  • TB Test clearance.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (provided by WR).
  • 1+ years’ experience supervising a group of children in a school or recreational setting.
  • 1+ years’ experience supervising or leading a team and/or a group of children.
  • AA Degree in Child Development or a related field is preferred.
  • 12 units of Child Development or similar.
  • Work well with young children and/or youth.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to use smart phone for work related business.
  • Must successfully pass an assessment test evaluating skills in math, reading comprehension, and spelling.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure students are in a safe environment (physically and emotionally).
  • Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces diversity.
  • Lead and coach the on-site team to perform their duties and deliver high-quality programs.
  • Effectively implement site protocols, safety regulations, WR procedures and policies.
  • Communicate with facilities management to ensure access to required facilities during program hours.
  • Collect and review activity plans and program material list from Club Leaders.
  • Coordinate end of week themes activities, program mingle, and end of summer culmination.
  • Coordinate field trips with field trip coordinator and communicate with parents/guardians.
  • Maintain and submit student attendance daily.
  • Ensure activities meet the needs and abilities of participants’ age and skill level.
  • Oversee staff schedules, including approving timesheets and sick time.
  • Participate in staff development trainings as required/as scheduled.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
