Site Civil Project Engineer
About The Position
L.K. McLean Associates, D.P.C. (LKMA) is an 80+person engineering and land surveying firm, which was founded in 1950 with offices in both Suffolk and Nassau County on Long Island. LKMA is seeking highly motivated site/civil engineers to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate will have between 4-8 years of experience in land development and/or municipal projects and be committed to the advancement of their career. Collaborate with team members to perform the design, computation, and evaluation of various land development and municipal projects Develop concise Construction Documents, including Plans, Technical Specifications & Estimates Provide permitting assistance to navigate projects through various municipal entitlements Provide construction support services, including review of shop drawings, submittals, and RFI’s Apply technical design skills and utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop design plans Projects may require: site planning, roadway design, coastal & marine design, grading and drainage design, sanitary design, lighting design, soil erosion and sediment control planning, and SWPPP reporting
Requirements
- 4-8 years’ experience in site/civil design
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Strong computer skills including practical experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong organization and oral/written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- EIT desirable
- PE license a plus
- Experience with State & local agencies a plus
