About The Position

Dewberry is currently seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern in our Charlotte, NC office for Summer 2026 to assist in a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and government sector. The work will include site/civil design for residential, commercial and industrial site development and capital improvement projects. A housing stipend may be provided for this position. Requirements

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering required
• Experience with Microsoft office is required
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Water CAD, and Storm CAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• May also conduct code research, and assist with specifications
