We are seeking a Site Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Florida Team in one of the following Florida offices: Gainesville, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa, and support water and wastewater infrastructure design projects. As a key member of our Civil Site team, you'll contribute to multi-disciplinary designs for: Water and wastewater collection and treatment facilities Conveyance systems Site development projects This role presents an opportunity for someone who is aiming to grow their career in the diverse roles that Jacobs offers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a ABET-accredited program
  • Minimum 5 years relevant of experience
  • Proven experience in: Site layout Grading and drainage design Stormwater design Utility and conveyance layout and design Roadway and pavement design Erosion and sedimentation control design Stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) development
  • Experience assembling and reviewing construction drawings and specifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency CADD tools such as Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following drainage modeling software: StormWise, Storm & Sanitary, Culvert Master, Flow Master

Responsibilities

  • Preparing planning/study documents, preliminary and detailed designs, permitting packages, and engineering reports
  • Designing site civil layouts, grading, drainage (hydrology and hydraulics), utilities, and erosion control systems
  • Reviewing designs and collaborating with project teams from concept through construction
