Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in site civil/land development design for buildings or infrastructure, including demolition, erosion control, site layout, stormwater management, grading and drainage, and utility design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR/Stormwise, WaterCAD, and StormCAD.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, technically sound designs with minimal supervision.
  • Experience serving as Engineer of Record on previous projects.
  • Proposal writing experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site civil engineering design efforts for site civil engineering related to buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments, water/wastewater systems, municipal and federal projects, and power and data center facilities.
  • Serve as the Civil Engineer of Record when required.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project phases—from initial planning through construction documentation and administration.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, engineering calculations and reports.
  • Manage permitting processes with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Review shop drawings and provide support during the construction phase.
