SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Site Agricultural Health & Safety Lead serves as a strategic leader by overseeing occupational health and safety programs at the site. This position is responsible for ensuring rigorous alignment with company standards and local regulatory requirements, fostering collaboration across teams to enhance program maturity, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement. It will be critical to operate with minimal oversight to develop and deploy H&S solutions through influence with both direct and indirect relationships and act as a champion to ensure the ongoing health and safety of our people. In this role, you will: Interpret and monitor changing legal requirements relevant to site operations, ensuring ongoing compliance. Develop, implement, and periodically review site safety policies and procedures to address emerging risks and regulatory changes. Identify and assess complex occupational health and safety hazards, lead risk assessments, and mentor others in advanced risk management techniques. Maintain deep expertise in occupational health and safety topics, including agricultural safety, and apply this knowledge to site-specific risks. Lead incident investigations and causal analyses, sharing best practices and building investigative skills across the team. Develop and deliver training on relative to health and safety, focusing on technical depth and practical application for manufacturing operations. Conduct program maturity assessments and recommend improvements to elevate site safety performance. Demonstrate leadership through accountability, role modeling, and commitment to safety culture. Utilize digital systems and data analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Apply project management and change management skills to implement safety initiatives and process improvements. Champion a lean mindset and collaborate across functions to deliver value and foster a culture of safety. Support manufacturing planning, execution, and capital allocation processes with safety expertise. Develop, deploy, and maintain site safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with K-C and regulatory controls. Act as a technical owner for OH&S components within the site’s management system. Identify hazards and emerging requirements, verifying effective risk management. Define and assess site safety objectives and performance. Lead initiatives to improve program maturity and implement global/regional safety strategies. Assist in event investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions. Ensure all employees and contractors receive appropriate safety orientation and training. Analyze safety data and provide actionable insights for improvement. Support emergency response and health services as needed. Led by Purpose. Driven by You. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, or related field.
  • 6 plus years of experience in safety, occupational health, or industrial hygiene management within manufacturing, with emphasis on compliance, risk management, and company standards.
  • 2 plus years of experience in agricultural health and safety program development and implementation.
  • Previous experience in a consulting or advisory capacity, where you influence meaningful change without authority.
  • Proven ability to create and implement strategies for a site.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage at all levels of the organization, including with senior leaders.
  • Ability to influence behaviors and outcomes without direct authority.
