About The Position

Purpose and Scope Supervises the day to day operations of the Spring school site to ensure quality instruction and the safety of the staff and students. Communicates behavior expectations and consequences of action to staff, students and parents. Administers discipline when necessary to correct disruptive behavior. Oversees the opening and closing of Spring school sites. Ensures compliance with all state, district, and Spring school policies and procedures. Ensures all state and district documents are submitted on time. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field plus a minimum of four (4) years of teaching or training experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or paid, exempt level directly relevant experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position for a total of eight (8) years. Active SCS Assistant Principal in good standing required. The following special conditions are required: Commitment for the entire period of Spring school and attendance at the Spring School graduation. May involve missing some district training opportunities. Attendance at ALL preparatory planning sessions and periodic administrative meetings. Availability prior to the end of the regular school assignment contract to participate in Spring school setup and preparation. Availability for Spring school closeout operations which may occur after the new academic year contract has started. This position is for SPRING SCHOOL ONLY. Requirements
