About The Position

The Sisterson Symposium: Summer Leadership Program, is designed for accounting majors who completed the second semester of their sophomore year by May 2026. The three-day, immersive, in-person event will provide a collaborative learning opportunity for those interested in pursuing a career in public accounting. The event will focus on industry-related topics, team building activities, networking with tax, audit, and consulting professionals of Sisterson, engaging with a client, and meeting fellow accounting majors from other colleges and universities. It will also provide students with the chance to learn from our current and rising leaders of the firm. Sisterson is one of the largest certified public accounting and financial consulting firms in the Pittsburgh area. Our growth since the firm's inception in 1926 has been deliberate and steady as we offer services and staff dedicated to meet the needs of our clients. The firm presently serves hundreds of clients and takes pride in preserving a tradition that began almost one hundred years ago. Requirements

  • hold the status of second semester sophomore completing two full years of school, at a four-year college or university by May 2026.
  • declare accounting as a major by no later than second semester, sophomore year.
  • currently hold at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
  • have availability to attend the program for all three days (approximately 9:00 am-4:00 pm)
  • have reliable transportation to and from the Pittsburgh office.

Benefits

  • A stipend will be included to be used for transportation and other expenses for the three-day event.
