About The Position

DSG is seeking a Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) Analyst to join our team in the Twin Cities, MN metro area. Hybrid work arrangements from our Plymouth, MN branch may be available for qualified candidates. As a SIOP Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling an integrated, data-driven planning process that connects commercial demand, operational capability, and financial outcomes. This position is responsible for analyzing trends, and identifying risks and opportunities, as well as ensuring alignment across Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Finance to support both short-term execution and long-term business objectives. The SIOP Analyst will serve as a critical link between functions, translating complex data into clear insights that drive decision-making at multiple levels of the organization. By supporting inventory optimization, large scale investment planning, and scenario modeling, this role helps balance service levels, cost, and growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in SIOP, demand planning, supply planning, or supply chain analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, macros/VBA preferred)
  • Strong experience with data modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis
  • Ability to analyze large, complex datasets and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Experience with statistical forecasting techniques

Responsibilities

  • Support the SIOP cycle, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and executive reviews
  • Analyze demand forecasts, supply plans, capacity constraints, and inventory levels to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain SIOP dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turns)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to align assumptions and plans
  • Perform scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions
  • Identify gaps between demand and supply and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and present insights, recommendations, and executive-ready materials for SIOP meetings
  • Drive continuous improvement of SIOP processes, data quality, and planning tools
  • Support system enhancements, data integration, and planning tool optimization
