About The Position

The position involves responsibilities related to the proper use and maintenance of personal safety protective equipment, as well as understanding the handling of hazardous waste materials. The individual will check materials and units to ensure receipt and completion according to specifications, and will identify and report any material irregularities and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel or department. The role requires reviewing schedules, production authorizations, logbooks, overdue reports, and other relevant information sources to determine work assignments. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area is essential. The position also includes setting control settings on welding equipment for various material variances, checking broadcast sheets and reference drawings for parts requirements, obtaining necessary materials, cleaning welds, completing production reports, performing routine maintenance on welding equipment, and ordering materials and supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Proper use and maintenance of personal safety protective equipment.
• Understanding proper hazardous waste material handling.
• Check materials/units for receipt and completion according to specifications.
• Identify and report material irregularities and equipment malfunctions.
• Receive or determine work assignments after reviewing schedules and other information sources.
• Keep work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition.
• Set control settings on welding equipment for various material variances.
• Check broadcast sheets and reference drawings for parts requirements.
• Obtain materials as necessary.
• Clean welds as required, either manually or with a power grinder.
• Complete required production reports.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and stud guns.
• Order materials and supplies as needed.
• Complete required feedback and necessary manufacturing documentation.
