Requirements

• High school graduate/GED required
• Graduate of IDPH or NREMT-P approved Paramedic program with Illinois Department of Public Health EMT-P certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• International Trauma Life Support certification
• Minimum two years of experience in Emergency Medical Services or Hospital Emergency Department setting
• Completion of trauma orientation
• Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
