The JPATS Simulator Maintenance Technician (Sim Tech) uses advanced knowledge to resolve complex training device issues beyond standard manual guidance. Fully trained and qualified in JPATS logistics, maintenance, and operations, Sim Techs document discrepancies as required and consistently demonstrate problem-solving expertise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, part replacement, calibration, and operational checks. Utilizing Air Force manuals. Document all maintenance, repairs, and work orders. Manage, repair, and calibrate support equipment; maintain RSP inventory; process purchase requests and PCARSS cases; recommend logistics and spares improvements. Assist with hardware/software updates to match aircraft configurations. Implement simulator changes and provide on-site, on-call, and remote support for maintenance, interfaces, networking, and IT systems. Conduct quality control inspections, maintain accurate records in the logistics database, and monitor repair status. Ensure proper disposal of unserviceable parts. Coordinate with TSSC on non-standard issues, interpret schematics, handle voice communications, and maintain clear customer and internal communication. Power up/shut down devices, perform daily readiness checks, build missions/scenarios, assist trainees and instructors, and support user activities (investigations, tests, demos, tours). Ensure ATDs are ready 10 minutes before training.
