The Learning Resources and Simulation Center at USM provides an environment for our students to develop clinical judgment and reasoning while focusing on best practices. This is where our students put classroom theory and scientific principles into action, utilizing “real-world” scenarios and equipment. The Nursing Simulation and Skills Lab Specialist position pays $21.09/hour (non-negotiable) hour for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System. This position is full-time, working 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Monday – Friday. Although this position is based on our Portland Campus frequent time may be spent on our Lewiston Campus as well. The Learning Space Specialist provides support services in the preparation, operation, and maintenance of the Center's equipment and simulation spaces and skills labs for simulation/skills-based learning experiences. The successful candidate will be well-organized and possess excellent written, phone and verbal communication skills.
