Simulation Lab Manager
About The Position
The Simulation Operations Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations, technological infrastructure, and educational support within the simulation center and American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center at Grady Hospital. This role ensures the successful deployment and maintenance of simulation technologies, integration of emerging educational tools, and operational effectiveness across training environments. The Manager supervises simulation staff and the AHA Training Center Coordinator, while driving curriculum innovation. This hybrid skill set ensures that simulation experiences reflect both clinical fidelity and technical excellence to prepare healthcare teams for safe, effective patient care. This position requires a dual-role leader blending clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse with advanced technical and software engineering skills to design, develop, and implement next-generation healthcare simulation systems, maintain high-impact simulation programs, including Mixed Reality (MR) learning environments and operational leadership. This role will report in Nursing Leadership and will have direct reports of Sim Spec and a Clinical Coordinator.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Three (3) or more years job related experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
