The Simulation Education Nurse Manager is a shared leadership role with Temecula Valley Hospital, Inland Valley Hospital and Rancho Springs Hospital responsible for organizing, managing and providing oversite for the implementation and utilization of simulation laboratory experiences for nursing staff. This Manager collaborates with Education Directors at both organizations to provide engaging clinical education and experience in the simulation lab to advance and support RN training programs and ongoing RN education, experience and clinical competency. The Manager coordinates and collaborates with simulation lab leadership in planning scheduling in-services to maximize utilization of available simulation resources.

Requirements

  • Must have an understanding and knowledge of educational techniques and principles of adult learning.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both professional and non-professional employees.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in simulation education.
  • Generate enthusiasm for learning and professional growth among employees.
  • Ability to collaborate with nursing departments within the assigned facilities and at sister facilities within the region, to coordinate the simulation education needs within the region.
  • Partner with the Simulation Lab leadership to ensure operational efficiency of the lab.
  • Five years of full-time experience as a licensed Registered Nurse providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.
  • Five years of experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the acute care setting.
  • Five years of direct critical care experience
  • Graduate with a BSN, with MSN preferred.
  • Current CA RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA)
  • Valid and unrestricted state issued driver’s license
