About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Simulation Architect to define the enterprise simulation strategy, architectural blueprints, and technical governance for digital twin platforms across multiple operational domains. This is a strategic architecture role responsible for establishing simulation patterns, integration frameworks, and standards that enable scalable, interoperable digital twin ecosystems. You will set the long-term technical vision for simulation capabilities, design cross-domain integration architectures, and establish enterprise-wide standards for physics-based modeling, scenario orchestration, and real-time decision support. You will work at the intersection of business requirements and technical possibility, translating operational needs into simulation architectures that bridge multiple physical and operational systems. We value candidates with deep simulation architecture experience across industrial domains whether from enterprise digital twins, large-scale game engine deployments, scientific computing platforms, or complex systems engineering. Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in simulation engineering, systems architecture, or digital twin platforms, with 6+ years in architecture roles
  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, Robotics, or related field
  • Proven track record of defining enterprise simulation architectures for production systems
  • Deep understanding of simulation fundamentals across discrete-event, continuous, and agent-based paradigms
  • Experience architecting solutions that integrate simulation with enterprise data, analytics, and ML platforms
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, microservices architecture, and API design

Nice To Haves

  • Experience architecting digital twin platforms for industrial operations (Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy, Transportation)
  • Background in multi-domain systems engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Contributions to OpenUSD, FMI standard development, or simulation industry working groups
  • Experience with cloud-native simulation deployment (Kubernetes, serverless architectures)
  • Knowledge of real-time visualization architecture (WebGL, Three.js, game engines)
  • Familiarity with operations research, optimization frameworks, and constraint programming
  • Experience with physics engines (PhysX, Bullet) and multi-physics simulation platforms
  • Publications, patents, or conference presentations in simulation architecture or digital twins
  • Enterprise architecture certifications (TOGAF, Zachman) or equivalent experience
  • Client-facing experience in solution architecture, technical pre-sales, or advisory roles

Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise simulation strategy aligned with digital twin roadmap and business objectives
  • Establish architectural principles, patterns, and blueprints for simulation platforms across multiple domains
  • Design integration architecture between simulation platform and enterprise systems (data, ML/AI, visualization)
  • Create reference architectures for scenario management, what-if analysis, and operational optimization
  • Establish simulation modeling standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for model validation
  • Drive adoption of industry standards (OpenUSD, FMI/FMU) and define data contracts for simulation interoperability
  • Design co-simulation frameworks for multi-fidelity model integration across discrete-event, continuous, and physics-based paradigms
  • Architect cloud-native deployment patterns and simulation-as-a-service capabilities
  • Evaluate and select simulation technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with technical strategy
  • Partner with domain experts, data architects, and ML teams to translate operational requirements into simulation architectures
  • Provide architectural guidance, reviews, and mentorship to simulation development teams
  • Assess technical risks, define mitigation strategies, and present architectural proposals to technical leadership
