Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Integrated Solutions, Modeling, and Architecture (ISMA) center assesses, develops, and evaluates solution architectures for our customers’ largest, most complex challenges across all the operational domains. In the Operations and Mission Analysis Department you’ll be part of a special team that analyzes the world’s most challenging threats and helps define new capabilities to counter them, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and leading the industry in operational modeling and simulation using our purpose-built software. As a team member in the ISMA directorate you will be working with high-fidelity missile simulations to construct decision support systems used by the warfighter. We are currently recruiting an Entry Level Simulation Analysis Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (including computer science)
• Experience with at least one programming language such as MATLAB, Python, or C++
• Knowledge of applied and/or academic experience with Modeling and Simulation or Data Analysis.
• Experience in at least one of the following:
• Systems engineering life cycle
• Software development and/or object-oriented programming.
• Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to SW development
• Machine Learning (ML) and/or Surrogate Modeling, Descriptive or Inferential Statistics
• Operations Research

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Degree in one of the following majors: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Active Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Active duty or reserve Military Experience
• Experience with AFSIM or other Simulation Modeling development, and/or analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and/or utilization of digital simulation software in advanced technical computing environments.
• Contribute to trade studies to assess system performance of weapons against a variety of threats in a variety of kill chain scenarios.
• Contribute your knowledge of performance engineering practices, and procedures, to evaluate work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems to answer questions such as: what should be the next system improvement; or what is the effectivity of the missile against a single or multiple threats; or what counter measures should be considered to increase effectivity and/or survivability and other operational performance related questions.
• Collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on varied projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to power decision support systems, and participate in validation and testing models, software components and/or integrated systems.
• Occasional travel as needed to support the customer/ Program. (<10% travel)
