About The Position

The position oversees all training functions of the SP workforce (80-120 individuals) including onboarding, role portrayal training, and assessment requirements. The role collaborates with education and content experts to develop, implement, and evaluate SP specific curriculum, ensuring simulation best practices are followed and SPs are advocated for. The position facilitates SP events, ensuring quality of portrayals by actors, providing real-time feedback as appropriate, and leading post-event SP debriefs. Additionally, the role assists the simulation team with hybrid sessions by supporting SPs and collaborates with the SP Coordinator to ensure events are efficient and successful. It also ensures that simulation needs are addressed, including supporting gaps in SP coverage as appropriate, which may include acting as a simulated participant in a simulation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, simulation, or theatre performance/technical or communication degree preferred.
  • Two years of experience as a simulated participant in healthcare simulation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable with a range of virtual platforms and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to mentor others.
  • Ability to work independently and in complex team situations.
