About The Position

The Silk Screen Operator for Metal Parts at Decimal Engineering is responsible for executing the screen printing process on metal components. This role involves a variety of tasks including the preparation of screen printing stencils, mixing and loading inks, cleaning and prepping parts, and accurately reading and applying blueprints to the screening processes. The operator must maintain meticulous records of work completed, job history, and quality standards, while also managing the inventory of screens used in the printing process. In this position, the operator will be expected to print on metal parts with consistent and repeatable results. This includes anticipating, recognizing, and resolving potential issues with inks and screens. The operator must verify and adhere to all information provided on the job router prior to screening, ensuring that ink color matching and verification are correctly executed. Utilizing fixtures and set-up boards to process parts is essential, as is conducting quality checks throughout the printing process. The operator must confirm that the correct quantity of parts has been screened before proceeding to clean and break down the equipment for the next job. The role requires the operator to safely perform physical tasks, which include sitting, standing, and walking for varying periods during the shift. The operator will also be required to work mandatory overtime as needed and perform all duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. This position is full-time and may require weekend work as necessary.
