Summary/Objective The Packaging Operator works at the stage of the manufacturing process packaging the finished product mix into labeled cartridges, tubes or other containers. Ability to read and understand work order instructions and noted schedules Prepare shift with raw material requirements Ability to load and off load totes from press machine Ability to perform visual inspection of product and packaging to ensure proper fill weights Set- up dosing for press parts Set – up label printer Responsible for recording production totals and maintaining scrap records Assisting with cleaning of totes in between mixes Competencies Advanced math skills Possess good computer skills Good written & verbal communication skills Ability to read & write in English Comprehension of written instructions Attention to details An ability to safely push, pull or drag up to 100 lbs. frequently An ability to safely operate equipment and necessary tools Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times due to running of machines Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, lift push or pull up to 50 lbs. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary based on shift. Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm to 12:30 am (Subject to change based on business demands) Travel No travel is expected for this position.
