  • Own the end-to-end development lifecycle for complex video hardware IP, ensure quality in design, verification, and system integration.
  • Lead the design of video processing and compression blocks, integrating Machine Learning (ML) innovations to enhance video quality and compression efficiency while balancing performance, power, and area.
  • Utilize high-level synthesis (HLS) to accelerate complex algorithm design and verification.
  • Develop and implement thorough verification strategies and plans, guide the team to ensure robust and bug-free IP delivery.
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges across design, verification, and silicon validation to meet project milestones.
  • Serve as a video hardware acceleration expert, mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, software, product) to define requirements and deliver optimized hardware.
  • Contribute to Google's long-term video hardware roadmap by tracking industry trends and identifying innovation opportunities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with silicon development (e.g., research, algorithm development, digital and physical design, implementation, verification, bring-up and post-silicon maintenance).
  • Experience in ASIC hardware architecture and silicon design.
  • Experience in coding with C or C++, and scripting languages, such as Perl or Python.
  • Experience in RTL coding using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • 10 years of experience in the field of ASIC/SoC development.
  • Experience across the full Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design flow, including UVM/OVM verification, synthesis, and timing closure.
  • Experience leading projects with HLS tools like Vivado HLS and Catapult.
  • Experience with ML acceleration hardware or applying ML to video processing/compression, demonstrating system-level problem-solving across hardware and software.
  • Ability to lead R&D of silicon algorithms and program execution.
  • Base salary range of $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
