At Array Labs, we are building the world's most advanced satellite radar constellation to create a high-resolution 3D digital twin of the Earth. Our mission is to provide "lidar-like" 3D data and imagery from space, serving critical applications for both commercial and defense customers. This is a deep tech challenge in the truest sense. We're solving complex problems that span hardware, software, and data—from designing satellite systems for the harshness of space to building the massive "data factory" that turns raw sensor data into beautiful 3D products. We are looking for first-principles engineers who want to build, deploy, and scale a one-of-a-kind, vertically-integrated system from the ground up. We are seeking a Signal Processing Engineer to join our team and build the core algorithms that make this transformation possible. This is a unique opportunity to have a foundational impact on a first-of-its-kind system.

  • Design, model, and implement novel digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for our next-generation radar systems.
  • Focus on critical areas such as pulse compression, Doppler processing, interference mitigation, and advanced filtering techniques to maximize signal quality.
  • Collaborate closely with RF, FPGA, and software engineers to ensure algorithms are robust, efficient, and implementable in a real-time environment.
  • Develop high-fidelity simulations in MATLAB or Python to validate algorithm performance against theoretical limits and system requirements.
  • Analyze and characterize system performance using both simulated and real-world data, paying close attention to metrics like Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), resolution, and ambiguity functions.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in signal processing and radar technology to continuously innovate and improve our capabilities.
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital signal processing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) fundamentals (e.g., Fourier analysis, digital filter design, sampling theory, estimation theory).
  • Proficiency in MATLAB or Python (with libraries like NumPy, SciPy) for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on signal processing.
  • A strong background in optimal and adaptive filter design (e.g., Wiener, Kalman), statistical signal processing
  • Familiarity with radar signal processing concepts (e.g., matched filtering, stretch processing, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging).
  • Experience with implementing computationally intensive algorithms in C++ or on hardware platforms (FPGA, GPU).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git and modern software development practices.
  • A creative and analytical mindset, with a proven ability to solve complex, open-ended problems from first principles.
