Signal Integrity Engineering Manager

The Signal Integrity Engineering Manager at Amphenol TCS will play a pivotal role in leading the high-speed copper-based I/O cable assembly design team. This position is located in Nashua, NH, and is part of the High-Speed Products Group, which is recognized as a market leader in high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom and Datacom markets. The products developed by this team are essential for enabling the electronics revolution and are utilized by major Tier 1 OEMs globally. The manager will be responsible for driving significant engineering impact in state-of-the-art applications including datacenters, cloud computing, 5G, storage, and enterprise I/O applications, with digital communication technologies and data rates reaching up to 224Gbps per lane. In this role, the manager will communicate and collaborate with customers and internal product managers to understand product requirements and performance specifications, translating these into new product designs, production tooling, manufacturing processes, and qualification testing. The position requires ensuring the accurate and timely completion of engineering tasks for the team, developing and driving product and technology roadmaps, and effectively communicating these to customers. The manager will also oversee and mentor the engineering team, providing necessary training and fostering growth within the organization. Additionally, the Signal Integrity Engineering Manager will coordinate with peers and other engineering managers to share best practices, pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows, and provide solutions to customers across various sectors with high-speed data transmission requirements. This includes identifying and resolving signal integrity issues, supporting Sales and Applications Engineers in developing strategies for product introduction at existing and new accounts, and advising global factories on production ramp-up methods and experiments.
