Job Description: Experienced signal and power integrity engineer, to drive development and validation of high performance printed circuit board (PCB) designs. Work closely with simulation engineers, PCB layout designers, and PCB manufacturing industry partners to design high power, high speed PCB and PCA assemblies for the high performance compute (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) markets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Using electrical design tools and software packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of signal integrity issues for ultra-high-speed channels.
  • Understanding of electrical 3D modeling and simulation
  • Designing electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms
  • Empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new high performance PCB material sets, weighing signal performance, reliability, and cost
  • Create PCB stackup designs to accommodate requirements for high speed signaling, high current power distribution, and vendor constraints
  • Work closely with signal integrity experts to evaluate suitability of PCB stackup and layout designs
  • Utilize a deep knowledge of PCB layout techniques to collaborate with the larger design team to optimize layouts for performance and cost
  • Assist in lab bring-up of new designs and troubleshooting problems in existing hardware.
  • Work with material suppliers and PCB fabricators to resolve material issues.
