About The Position

The Signal Engineer is responsible for producing and reviewing circuit drawings, writing and rack testing application software, creating test forms, providing submittal packages, and providing training to Engineering Technicians

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a railroad Signal Engineer or Application Engineer
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Position is contingent on background check and drug screen
  • 3+ years of prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Railroad Signal Engineering: 3 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise MicroStation and AutoCAD drawings as required
  • Review drawings for quality, accuracy, and compliance with client specifications
  • Write application software for ElectrologIXS, VHLC, Microlok II, iVPI, or VPI II as required by the project specifications
  • Create test forms
  • Rack test application software
  • Create material lists based on drawings
  • Create engineering distributions/submittals to clients
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients
  • Provide a positive attitude in our team environment
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs
