As a Wabtec Signal Engineer, you have the opportunity to make a difference in our customer's experience. As a Signal Engineer you are responsible for engineering rail signal systems, including circuit design and vital logic programming. The Signal Engineer role will require working within customer specifications, FRA regulations, AREMA standards, M.U.T.C.D standards and ISO-9001 requirements.

  • Complete railroad signaling projects for customers.
  • Circuit design and vital logic programming.
  • Programming wayside interface units.
  • Quality checking and material estimating for wayside signal locations, at-grade highway crossing locations, and railway yards.
  • Work within CADD programs (Microstation and AutoCad).
  • Attend project meetings and manage files within a document control system.
  • Review deliverables for proper version and accuracy prior to delivery.
  • Produce documentation as required by the ISO-9001 Quality Management System.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related experience.
  • 3-5 years of signaling experience preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
