About The Position

Gensler's DC Brand Design studio is seeking a Signage Specialist to join their signage team. This role is ideal for a technical draftsperson proficient in Revit, with a background in drafting, industrial design, architecture, or related fields. The position focuses on creating architectural signage documents and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective signage solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit.
• 2-year degree in drafting from an accredited trade school.
• 4-year architecture/design degree is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with 0-3 years of experience in industrial/product/signage detailing and production industry.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Understanding of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), MS Office, and/or CAD.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in industrial design, product design, engineering, architecture, planning, or interior design.

Responsibilities

• Create Signage Location Plans, Message Schedules, and Design Intent Documentation for projects of various sizes.
• Work closely with clients, designers, architects, general contractors, and fabricators.
• Coordinate the development of documentation for construction and installation for signage systems.
• Travel occasionally to client sites to perform signage surveys, oversee installs, and conduct punch lists.
