About The Position

Hardman Signs is a national leader in architectural signage and graphics. We design, manufacture, install, and service high-impact signage solutions for commercial properties, multi-family housing, healthcare facilities, parking garages, and more. We partner with leading construction companies and architectural design firms to bring signage visions to life—from concept to installation. We’re looking for a detail-driven Signage Estimator with experience in custom fabrication sign estimating. You’ll play a key role in preparing accurate project estimates and supporting data-informed pricing strategies that drive profitability. Job Summary: Reporting directly to our VP, the Sign Estimator & Pricing Analyst is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for signage projects while also managing pricing analysis to support competitive and profitable pricing strategies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution and 3 years of custom fabrication sign estimating experience; must include estimating for complex signage projects such as large pylon signage, channel letters, monuments, neon, and electronic signs.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications related to signage accurately
  • Familiarity with materials, fabrication processes, and installation logistics
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for balancing quality, cost, and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software
  • Effective communicator and team collaborator
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Deep understanding of custom sign manufacturing project timelines, fabrication processes, and cost-analysis methodologies for strategic pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and project details to develop accurate pricing for signage projects.
  • Provide full-service sign estimation for interior & exterior projects by identifying labor, material, equipment, and installation time requirements by studying blueprints, bid documents, and project specifications.
  • Review of detailed bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with design intent, budget, and project timelines.
  • Work closely with sales and project management teams to ensure pricing supports both project goals and company profitability.
  • Track and analyze pricing data, market trends, material costs, labor rates, and other factors to support competitive pricing strategies.
  • Assist in identifying value engineering opportunities to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
  • Conduct post-project profitability reviews to strengthen future pricing accuracy.
  • Participate in bid review meetings to review estimates and pricing strategies with internal teams.
