About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and grow our sign shop production department. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing and signage background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence. This is a hands-on role overseeing daily shop operations, staff, workflow, quality, and timely delivery of all projects.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of production supervision experience — preferably in a sign shop, metal fabrication, or comparable manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of sign production processes (vinyl, CNC routing, printing, fabrication, etc.).
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Comfortable reading drawings, specs, and production plans.
Proficiency with production scheduling tools and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of daily sign shop production and workflow.
Manage production team members — hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews.
Plan and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Coordinate with Sales, Design, and Installation teams to ensure project requirements and timelines are understood.
Maintain production schedules and communicate status updates to key stakeholders.
Implement and improve processes, quality controls, safety protocols, and productivity systems.
Manage inventory, materials ordering, and equipment maintenance.
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
