About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Graphic Designer to join our fast-paced sign shop. This role combines creative design work with sign production and installation support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative design solutions across various media and signage types.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant graphic design tools.
  • Familiar with ADA signage requirements.
  • Experience in creating production ready files for large format printing.
  • Familiarity with print production processes, materials, and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Outstanding communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, and suppliers.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in production coordination, purchasing, and inventory management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to conceptualize and refine design concepts that meet design & project goals.
  • Create professional, captivating and visually appealing designs for a wide range of signage products, including dimensional signage, lighted signs, channel letter signs, lobby signs, ADA and Wayfinder signage, trade show exhibits, banners, and more.
  • Develop designs that are “manufacturable and installable,” taking into consideration production machine capabilities and raw material size limitations.
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to craft compelling visual assets and final fabrication and print files.
  • Manage end-to-end in-house production processes of multiple concurrent projects, from order placement to final delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Ensure project materials are effciently sourced and adhere to cost-effective practices.
  • Coordinate in-house production resources with the team, including printers, cutting machines (laser, router, plotter), and finishing equipment, to optimize productivity and meet project demands.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to guarantee each product meets or exceeds established quality benchmarks.
  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work at heights.
